Audition Vs Pro Tools

Introduction:

The only difference that one might be able to find is the pro tools look more of an industrial standard whereas the Audition sounds typically as the Adobe Premier’s auxiliary audio modification program. But which one to choose right? So let us take a look at the comparison that we have made for you so that you have a clear picture of both the tools and then decide which one is suitable for you. Adobe audition courses is a digital audio workstation from Adobe Systems. It has both a multitrack, non-destructive mix/edit environment and a destructive-approach waveform editing view.

Comparison between Audition and Pro tool:

The following are some of the differences that we were able to dig out for you.

Difference in loading screens:

If we talk about pro tools then they have only used 3 different colors, that is, black as the background and white and purple as the logo, text, and loading bar. Well, this seems quite dull but we think the Pro tools has targeted only such audience here who are not worried about the appearance of the software. Avid Pro Tools and Adobe Audition, two of the well-known DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software in the music industry, their main difference seems to be one looks more ‘industrial

In contrast, the loading screen of audition is dark green and tiffany green and a more vitality kind of colors as their theme. What accompanies with it is a sound related picture that seems to mainly target designers or some color-sensitive users.

Working interface:

Pro tools has a light grey color tone to it that clearly shows the duration control and the editing tools. It also gives you the option to assign distinct colors to different tracks and giving us a colorful image which would never seem confusing to you.

Contrarily, audition uses a similar interface as premiere and after effects, which is a dark grey color tone with a deep track colors. It also has an extremely simple and tiny editing toolbar that represents nothing but an impression of how cool and professional the interface is.

Their functions:

This comparison is the most important one so let us take a good look at both their functions. In pro tools, there are 7 different tracks in total. These are audio, MIDI, instrument, AUX, VCA (stand for voltage control amplifiers, a full name that is hard to remember), master, and lastly video. Having such a variety, the pro tools became a relatively complicated and advanced software in the world of audio editing. It also has different icons inserted in the mixer window that can enable us to play virtual instruments with.

But if we talk about audition, then it only has 4 different clip types which are audio, BUS (this is same as AUX), master, and video. Now this sounds less complicated and having less functions than the other one.

One thing to know here is audition doesn’t have a variety of plugins whereas pro tools has more.

In terms of price:

Now comes the most important factor which everyone keeps in mind while choosing anything, that is, the price. As both the software possess different features, then obviously the price would be different for both. So, the price of pro tools is $299 in perpetual. And if we talk about audition, then it would cost $16.99 per month for students. So, by taking a look at both the figures, the most suitable software would be he audition as the pro tools is not only expensive but is also hard to be proficient at using it from the start.

Conclusion:

So this was the comparison that we were able to make for you, now it is entirely up to you to decide which tool would be more helpful or fulfills your need. Adobe audition and pro tool mostly use to music industry its a professional editing software.
